Happy Easter!

No Easter pictures here! LOL! The only "kid" we have at home this year is Mike, the girls stayed at their homes and Cameron stayed at his moms this year. So we planned on just hanging out at home this weekend doing spring cleaning projects and relaxing. So far that's exactly what we've done, we pressure washed the house and decks and I did some scrapping. Jim went to the casino and Mike and I just hung out at home, watching Cops. At the last minute we decided to have my Mom and Dad come over for dinner so Mike and I ran up to the grocery store this morning to pick up some stuff for a ham dinner. Mikes girlfriend Kelsi came over too and helped me make a cheesecake and cinnamon rolls, Mike made the potato salad with some guidance from Jim. Now we're just sitting around waiting for Mom and Dad to get here. The sun is shining, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is on the TV and I'm getting ready for a quick nap- Life Is Good.

I've been doing a little more scrapping since I finished Cameron's birth to 16 book and I'm glad. It really is relaxing and makes me feel like I have accomplished something instead of just sitting around or doing housework. I'm picking pictures or events that I really like and using those instead of forcing myself to scrap the "less inspiring" ones. I'm also trying to use up product from my stash that I already have instead of going out and buying new stuff. However, I am planning starting a senior graduation picture book for Mike's senior year so I may need to buy some new stuff to make it the way I envision it. The page below is actually a pre-made one from CHA, I cant remember the product but I really liked the colors. Anyway, enjoy the new pages and wish me luck getting more done.

Camerons 16th birthday

Today we celebrated Cameron's 16th birthday with a family dinner at Hop Jacks restaurant in Lacey. It's hard to believe the chubby little boy I met 12 years ago has turned into this wonderful young man with a super unique personality and spirit. In our family turning 16 means Mom makes you a scrapbook from birth to 16 with all of the best pictures from your childhood. Cameron loved getting his and everyone had fun looking though it and laughing at how everyone has changed. He also loved getting a $100 bill from Jim, all wrapped up into a tiny little package- he said it was his favorite gift. We all posed for some family pictures after dinner and the boys hammed it up, as usual. Morgan and Mike gave Cameron some "birthday tickles"and cracked us all up. We had a really nice time, it was good to get everyone together. Happy Birthday to you Cameron- I love you!!
