This weekend Jim and I went to Portland to see a comedy show- Lisa Lampenelli- she is frickin hilarious. We watch alot of Food Network TV and saw Voodoo Donut on Man Vs Food so of course we decided we needed to check it out. We went to both locations, the downtown one was super busy(and tiny) the line line was out the door so we didn't actually buy any donuts that day. The next day we went to the bigger location, it was totally cool, funky decorations, funky looking dude behind the coater and funky donuts too. We bought about a dozen, including the Voodoo Doll, the cocoa puff, the captain crunch and the grape koolaid donut. Unfortunately they were sold out of the maple bar with bacon! I hear it tastes like french toast with bacon - yum. They are scrumptious! We shared them with Rachel and Michael when we got home and they liked them too. We spent most of the weekend checking out spots like this, I'll post again throughout the week to share our fun.

That's great. I'm jealous. I really want to try the Doughnut Plant in NYC too!
