Scrapping Saturday

Today was a nice relaxing day. I went to the mall with Rachel for a few hours this morning and then spent a few hours out in the Loveshack. I had a ton of stuff to put away from CHA so the first hour or so I just spent organizing and filing paper. I had taken all of the stuff for the two layouts below with me to CHA but we were so busy I never even pulled it out. The layout of my Mom and Dad uses my favorite Teresa Collins paper and I like how it looks with the black and white picture from their wedding. The Cider Mill pictures uses several different products, Bo Bunny and Fancy Pants( I think). I've been holding onto the Fancy Pants die cut for months and months and I'm glad I finally figured out how to use it on a layout. I also worked on my project for the upcoming "blog hop" at scraptiffany, but you'll have to wait to see what it is. I will tell you that it's super cute and Valentine themed!!

New Glitz Giveaway

Who wants to win a prize?? Who doesn't?? I got some great new product from Glitz and I would love to share it with you. The Glitz folks were the best party we went to by far and they are just genuinely nice. Definitely the kind of company you should do business with. I hope Tiffany picks more of their product for a upcoming project. Just leave me a comment letting me know where you are from or how you found my blog. I'll randomly pick one of the comments as my winner, maybe I'll convince one of the kids to help me. Good Luck!

CHA Pics and friends

Here are a few more pictures from CHA this weekend. It was great to hang out with Tiffany , Terri and Susie, I wish we lived closer to each other! Terri is my new friend of the day- just so you know! I also got a chance to make a couple of new friends- Bree and Marie. Bree is one of Tiffany's designers and Marie is her sister ( she came along to protect Bree and make sure we weren't axe murders or something!). They came to the show from Canada to meet up with us and help in Tiffany's class. Can I just say- those girls were hilarious! They both talk so fast and so much it's a treat to just sit back and listen. They are super sweet and are both the kind of ladies that you would love to have for friends. I hope we get a chance to get together again sometime in the future. We all walked the show on Saturday and had super sore feet by the time the day ended. The first stop we made was the Teresa Collins booth for her make and take. She was very open and warm and posed for pictures with everyone, all the while she was working her booth and sharing her new product. What a great example of business success in the scrapbook industry. We went to the Glitz party that night and they shared some of their great new product with us. Check back tomorrow for a giveaway of some of their product- I got a ton! Their decorations were to die for- check out the cake! Stop by their site to take a peek at their new product.

CHA class with Tiffany

Here are a few shots of the set up for the class we taught with Tiffany at CHA this weekend. The aprons we are wearing were made made Tiffany's sweet Mom Susie and we got a ton of compliments on them. They are super cute! One lady signed up for our class just because we told her we were giving away an apron in the class, too funny. The class rocked, lots of great students and most every one finished the project during the class. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed doing it. I'll post again tonight with more pictures, I'm off to work.

Work and Play- ET Phone Home!

I'm headed off to California for a day of work today followed by a weekend of play. Luckily I was able to schedule a day of work I had to do any way for Friday and I am joining Tiffany in Anaheim tonight for CHA and the Consumer Show that she will be teaching at. I am sitting at my table blogging right now because I've been up since 2 am due to getting a call from work and not being able to fall back asleep. Bummer, but at least I'll be able to sleep on the plane, I always can. Stop by Tiffany's blog to take a look at the project she'll be teaching at CHA, it's a cute mini book. She also has a few for sale on her site so if you're interested order now because they sell out quick! I'll try to post from the road as I can. I'm not taking my laptop so I'll be at Tiffany's mercy to use hers if I want to read emails or post. I guess I better be nice to her!!
PS- I am so grateful that I have such a supportive husband who lets me travel to not just work places but fun stuff too! He holds down the fort while I am gone and I am truly grateful. Love you Jim!

Snow Day????

Well, not exactly a "snow day", but I did get a few extras hours at home yesterday. We had huge wind storm on Sunday that resulted in a lot of power outages in our state. I had power at home but there was no power at work until almost noon so I got to go home for a few hours. I did a little housework and cleaned the Loveshack first, then I did a few pages. I haven't really been doing anything with my older pictures so I thought I'd pull some out and give them some attention. The result are these two pages from 2004, Halloween and a Christmas party we took the kids too. It's fun to look back at the old pictures and see how much the kids have changed within just a few years, time definitely does fly. I used Pink Paislee paper for the Halloween page and My Minds Eye for the Christmas page. I like how they both turned out, what do you think?

Sunday Scrapbook Pages

I am totally back in the groove. I finished 2-two page layouts of Thanksgiving, a layout of Charlee-Jo and one for the challenge at ScrapTiffany. I really like the layout of Charlee, I used several Basic Grey papers from the same line and combined them on the page. I also used two different colors of vinyl Thickers, if you know me at all you know I LOVE Thickers. I used Imaginesce paper that Tiffany gave me for the brown polka dotted Thanksgiving page, it's actually summer themed paper- it has Popsicles on the back side! Anyway, I am glad to be back in the swing of things. I am headed to CHA with Tiffany on Saturday and I am looking forward to getting a peek at all of the new products and goodies. Tiffany is teaching a class on Saturday and I get to help. It's fun to think about all of the classes I've taken over the years and now I get to help teach one- yippee. If you get a chance, stop by ScrapTiffany to look at the book for the class, it's really cute.

Happy Birthday Uncle Jeffery Douglas

We spent Saturday evening at the Apex Carting track to celebrate Jeff"s 40th birthday. It was a surprise, he didn't know we were all going to be there. I think he got a little suspicious when he pulled up and saw mine and Jim's cars in the lot! About a dozen of us rode the carts, not me though, and had a ton of fun. They all came off the track busting up laughing and on an adrenaline high. After 3 races, Mike ended up the winner with Jeff in second and James in third. We had a great time hanging out with the Schoenings, as always and we were glad were got to spend Jeff's birthday with him. Happy Birthday Jeff!!

Late Chrismas with Twyla

Due to our crazy busy schedules during the holidays, we finally made it up to Jim's Moms house to exchange Christmas presents. It's been almost 2 years since I was up there last, things just haven't worked out to get us all up there sooner. The kids had a relaxing day after opening presents and most everyone dozed on the couch at some point. It was nice to see Bobby too, it's been just as long since we've seen him. He's all grown up now! Scott came over and brought Kyra, she loved the clothes and book we gave her. It was fun to buy for a little girl, my girls are all big girls now. Jim and the kids looked through pictures and got a good laugh at how everyone has changed over the years. I'm glad we finally made it up there, we need to make a point of going up more often. Maybe this summer....
